About Sarah Mills

Sarah Mills is a creative and entrepreneurial professional with a passion for achieving a sustainable environment through combining the power of individual action with progressive public policy initiatives. 

As Principal/Venture Environmentalist of Sarah Mills Consulting, Sarah has provided project management services for clients such as The Energy Coalition and the City of Irvine – for whom she developed a municipal recycling campaign which received national recognition as Most Innovative Campaign. With a background in waste reduction, reuse, recycling and energy management, Sarah has successfully managed many municipal and state-wide environmental programs.

Prior to her role at Sarah Mills Consulting, Sarah was the Program Director for Community & Educational Partnerships with The Energy Coalition and managed community-based energy efficiency and demand response program activities in California, Illinois, and Sweden as the director for PEAK Student Energy Actions, the Community Energy Partnership, and PEAK Plus.

Sarah is a member of the Global Green, USA Los Angeles Regional Committee, Green Long Beach! Leadership Committee, Junior League of Long Beach, and the STEM Advisory Committee for Orange County, CA.

Sarah received her B. A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in public and environmental health.
